Buck-I-Serv: The Alternative Break Program at Ohio State
We are looking for trip LEADERS and participants for over 26 amazing Spring Break trips this year! Trip dates are from March 20-27, 2010. We are traveling to BELIZE, California, Colorado, Ohio, Chicago, Mississippi, Florida, Maine, Minnesota, New York, Boston, Washington, DC, and Kentucky this year for over 26 unforgettable experiences working with projects ranging from Habitat for Humanity, Art, and Animal Rescue to Women's Issues, HIV/AIDS, and Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation.  Visit http://www.ohiounion.osu.edu/activityfee/asb.asp to apply or find out more information!

BUCK-I-SERV trips are week-long, substance free, community service trips all across the country and BELIZE open to ANY Ohio State-Columbus student.  Students get to travel to a new city, serve in that community, and sightsee in the evenings after service.  Leader applications are due Wednesday, November 11 and Participant applications are due on Wednesday, November 18! BuckeyeThon 2010

Be a part of the premier student philanthropy on campus!  BuckeyeThon is the 14-hour dance marathon taking place on February 20, 2010!  Registration starts now so become a part of this amazing event helping to raise money for Nationwide Children's Hospital.  It's the goal of the over 1,000 dancer participants to raise $100 each for this amazing cause! It's easy to do and we want to see you there! Beat Michigan Week: Battle Against Hunger

Do your part to beat Michigan by bringing in Canned Goods from November 15-20.  Ohio State is competing against Michigan to see who can bring in the most weight in canned goods.  Drop off locations are Ohio Union, RPAC, Fresh Express, North Commons, Kennedy Commons, Off-Campus Student Services, Kuhn Honors and Scholars House, and Participating Residence Halls.  Bring your food and come to the Kick-Off event on Friday, November 13 from 3-5 in Royer Activity Center to hear a program about nutrition and the issue of Hunger within Columbus.  Free Food and Drink! Direct Questions to Eric Langenderfer.22@buckeyemail.osu.edu

 Make the difference in the life of a child by tutoring for 1 hr each week.  Ohio State students work with 2 Elementary schools in Columbus to tutor the kindergartners and first graders in reading.  The program is completely organized by the school, tutors simply show up and work with their students each week for one hour.  Transportation is provided if needed. If you are looking to get into the field of education or simply want to make a huge impact on the life of a Columbus child, this is for you!
